From March 13 to 15, 2009, in the enchanting setting of the Principality, the 4th edition of the Monaco Salsa Festival, the most “classy” and prestigious Salsa Festival in Europe, will be held.
Once again, the greatest international dancers of the moment and many new talents will tread the boards of the Salle du Canton during three exceptional evenings, with a live broadcast on Eurosport on Saturday, March 14, 2009.
The “Salsa Village” will once again be set up in the Louis II Stadium complex with 50 workshops, led by talented teachers representing all styles of salsa, boutiques, and a lounge/restaurant/bar area…
Born in 2006, from the meeting of enthusiasts (Hamidine Thiam, a salsa teacher of international renown, and Gregory Salerno, an event and communication entrepreneur in Monaco) and their desire to create a popular event in an exceptional place, the Salsamonaco Festival aims to be the essential rendezvous of the French Riviera for salseros from around the world.
After three consecutive years of success, the International Salsa Festival of Monaco has established itself as a must-attend event!
Grégory SALERNO and Hamidine THIAM along with their team have continually traveled the world to offer you each year a first-class artistic lineup. Since the first edition, which had more than 2,000 participants, this number has steadily increased over the years to reach more than 3,500 people during the last event.
This audience, represented not only by locals from the Azur region and Italians but also by a large number of internationals (Swedes, English, Northern Europeans, and Americans), has resulted in the media praising the event and the Monegasque population being captivated by the energy and good spirits exuded by the Monaco salsa festival.
The criteria for this project are quite simple: to offer both dancers and beginners a concentration of proven and renowned teachers and artists from around the world, to provide them with the best introductions and classes. But also to offer them performances and breathtaking shows for the entertainment of all. And all this, in a unique and magical setting.
