A hymn for AS Monaco

“In Monaco, there are no fans.” This well-known saying could no longer be tolerated by Yann Zeppegno, co-founder and singer of the rock band Leden. Along with his bandmates Jean-Philippe Lagier (drums), Sébastien Nassif (bass), and Franck Bono (guitar – you can’t make this up!), this adopted Monegasque decided to write a song in honor of the red and white.

“I wrote ‘Rouge et Blanc’ simply because ASM has always been the team of my heart. I’ve been going to Louis II since I was a little kid, and writing this song was my way of loudly proclaiming that this often scorned club is supported by many fans,” explains the singer.

Due to its specificity, the song will only be available in the region (notably at Fnac, as well as other outlets). However, if fans not living in the region want to acquire it, they can order it via the official website of the Ultras Monaco 1994.

Since the beginning of the season, “Rouge et Blanc” has been resonating in the Louis II stadium as the players enter the field. A fine acknowledgment for this promising group, founded in 2001, which is currently looking for a record label to produce an album. “After a few weeks of vacation on the Coast, during which we performed a concert on the beach of La Mala, in Cap d’Ail, we are back in Paris (note: the group moved to Paris a few months ago to give a new impetus to their career). We hope to perhaps release our album by 2006. In the meantime, we will continue to tour the venues of the capital and set fire wherever we can…”

That’s all the harm we wish to this friendly local band. We also hope that “Rouge et Blanc” brings good luck to AS Monaco, they really need it!
