For its 22nd edition, the Mouans-Sartoux Book Festival has chosen to highlight a world that is outraged, being overwhelmed by violence, wars, injustice, poverty… Atiq Rahimi, novelist and filmmaker, as well as Léonora Miano, novelist, will preside over the Festival. It is in partnership with the book festival “SerittorinCittà” which takes place in Cuneo, Italy. The two cities share a common goal: “to introduce books to young audiences and contribute to the emergence of new talents.”
Various events will take place over these three days, including debates (one of which will address the fall of communism, on Sunday, October 4 at 4 p.m.). Distinguished guests such as Françoise Héritier, anthropologist and professor at the Collège de France, Lorànt Deutsch, Christophe Alévêque, and Bernard Werber will be present. You will also have the chance to attend a forum focused on reflecting on the world around us.
On this occasion, you can share your perspective with sociologists, historians, and writers. This Festival is also intended for children. Several activities will be offered to them. The Pitchouns prize “rewarding a book imagined, written, and illustrated by children and for children” will be continued in this new edition. This festival is an ideal meeting point for new writers.
