In terms of transport, the aim is to promote modes of travel that are gentle or use clean energy. The Nice Côte d’Azur Urban Community thus asserts its desire to become a benchmark territory, reflecting the national challenge of a society reorganizing around the theme of sustainable development.
Starting in April 2011, Nice Côte d’Azur will be the first community in France to implement, on a large scale, the Car Sharing system exclusively with electric cars. On the Nice Côte d’Azur territory, 210 electric vehicles will ultimately be distributed across 70 stations.
An initial overview of the system, focusing on the first Car Sharing vehicle station being installed in the Thiers area, will also be an opportunity to present the operation of the stations and electric vehicles and to review the works schedule.
