On Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at 10:30 a.m., Mr. Eric Ciotti, President of the General Council of the Alpes-Maritimes, will present an interim report on the fight against RSA fraud.
The General Council of the Alpes-Maritimes implemented an unprecedented anti-fraud system in July 2011, notably by creating an anti-fraud brigade, to strengthen its controls over the reception of the Active Solidarity Income (RSA) benefit, with the help of the Family Allowance Fund.
This report will present the results obtained, particularly in the detection of anomalies, recovery of undue payments, and filing of complaints with the courts of Nice and Grasse.
On this occasion, the first administrative fines against fraudsters will be announced.
Let us recall that in March 2012, the General Council was responsible for nearly 20,000 RSA beneficiaries.
