OGCN Handball: A Season Full of Ambitions

Latest News

The traditional meeting between the OGC Nice team and its partners took place on Friday evening at the Boulodrome Gé Gallaratto. After the training resumed on August 1st and the first friendly match on the 10th, the pre-season of OGC Nice handball experienced another major event.

handnice2.jpg Last night, Franck Bulleux’s team was officially introduced to all the partners, in the presence of Gilles Veissière, Deputy for Sports, Claude Israel, President of OGC Nice Handball and Ange Ferracci, the club’s vice-president.

These business leaders, who have decided to invest alongside the club, were able to get acquainted with the team, and in particular, put a face to the names of the new recruits.

Everyone had the opportunity to meet those who aspire to bring the club to the top of women’s handball.

A complete team and a well-represented technical staff gathered around the team captain, Valérie Nicolas.

The cornerstone of the evening, Gilles Veissière, embarked on this adventure five years ago and wanted to recall the circumstances of this turning point:

“I attended a match between ASPTT Nice and Puget-sur-Argens. There were fourteen of us in the stands. I wasn’t a handball specialist, but after a lot of work, here we are today.”

“Two objectives now: the team must move up to D1, and we need to acquire a venue worthy of this status,” he concluded.

Proof of its growth: the club became OGC Nice Handball this summer.

Everyone is now focused on September 10th and the start of the championship, at Eucalyptus, against Angoulême.

The club’s organizational chart:

Claude ISRAEL, President

Robert CENTANNI, Vice-President

Ange FERRACCI, Vice-president

Franck BULLEUX, General Manager

Stéphanie ADAWI, General Secretary

Jean-Luc BAILET, Treasurer

Aude AMADOU, Communication / Marketing
