Last Friday, Michel Vauzelle presided over the plenary session of the Regional Council for the last time, which he led for 18 years.
The Socialist Party candidate for his succession, Christophe Castaner, took the opportunity to highlight the achievements of the man he wishes to be the political heir to: “Michel VAUZELLE leaves behind a stronger, fairer, and more united region, ready to face the challenges of tomorrow.”
Before continuing and concluding: “I salute the commitment of a great Republican who, for nearly 20 years, served the general interest of the Region, always placing humanist values at the heart of his action. His insightful vision of the Mediterranean and its challenges enables our Region today to consider real prospects for the future, especially economic ones.”
