The Beaulieu Classic Festival celebrates its 16th anniversary and plays an ambitious score.

Latest News

For its 16th edition, the Beaulieu Classic Festival has decided to play an ambitious piece: that of the symphonic and concertante repertoire.

This “orchestral” edition will allow listeners to hear some of the most beautiful concertante and symphonic works. The tributes, which are essential this year, will be paid to Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and Claude Debussy, who will also illuminate the program.

The Festival will host the orchestras of Monaco, Cannes, and Nice. They will be conducted by no less prestigious baton holders.

Where there is a concerto, there must also be soloists, and those performing this year in Beaulieu-sur-Mer are not only Great Soloists but also loyal friends of the Festival.

Program:

Friday 14: Special Evening for the 50th Anniversary of the port of Beaulieu presented by F. Lodéon, with Miroslav Kultyshev (piano) and the Monte Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by F. Lodéon.

Sunday 16: Victoires de la Musique 2018 Evening. Cannes Orchestra, Victor Julien-Laferriere (cello), conducted by B. Levy.

Thursday 20: Debussy by… Debussy – 100th anniversary, Debussy Quartet and Fanny Monnet (piano).

Tuesday 25: “Tribute to Tchaikovsky” – 125th anniversary. Nice Philharmonic Orchestra, Charlie Siem (violin) conducted by G. Räth.
