Alexandre Labrouve was elected last October 20 during a ceremony held at Parc Phœnix in Nice. The 25-year-old man will participate in the Mister France competition next February 17 in Paris.
Originally from Paris, Alexandre Labrouve, is 25 years old and has just graduated from a business school with a master’s degree in wealth management and financial investment. In addition to being the new Mister Côte d’Azur, the young man has several talents. Passionate about music, he works at a local radio station and is part of an indie rock band called The Deneuves, in reference to Catherine Deneuve. An album is in the works, and a tour is being prepared for next summer. Music is also a family affair; he also forms a duo with his sister Lisam, a harpist and singer.
How does it feel to be elected “the most handsome man on the Côte d’Azur”?
“I don’t really like saying “the most handsome man on the Côte d’Azur” because it’s subjective. There are other people who are “more handsome” but who simply didn’t dare to come forward. In any case, I am proud to represent the region!”
Aren’t you afraid of getting a “big head”?
“It’s not in my mentality; it’s not part of my upbringing. I have come from too far personally to get a big head. In any case, I will enjoy this to the fullest but in a positive way! I will also seize all the opportunities that come my way to fully flourish in this adventure.”
What have you done since your election on October 20?
“Since my election, I have some duties towards Mister France. I started by signing my official contract. I owe them allegiance for the whole year… no, just kidding! I have several photo shoots planned. I have videos, stories, and posts to make on social networks to thank the contest partners. I also have to make official presentation videos for Mister France. And above all, I have many sporting trainings with a coach!”
Beauty contests today suffer from bad press for being considered superficial, what do you think?
“I think that more and more, beauty contests are oriented towards both the body and the mind. You obviously have to present well physically but also know how to speak, how to keep an argument, how to present yourself… Mens sana in corpore sano!” (A sound mind in a sound body)
How are you going to prepare for the Mister France election?
“First of all, I was lucky enough to win a one-year subscription to On Air Fitness. I will be able to prepare well; it’s a great gym! The goal is to really be in shape for the elections. Then we will have two intensive preparation weeks in Paris before the final. We will have choreographies, shoots, sporting training…”
Anything to add?
“Yes, I just want to add that the final will take place on February 17. This date is very symbolic for me because it is my father’s birthday, who passed away three years ago. Hopefully, it will bring me luck and he will be a little star for me!”
