The company was in the spotlight on Wednesday evening. Accompanied by Fabrice Bonniflet (Group Quality, Safety, and Environment Director at Bouygues), Pierre Girault (President of France Qualité), and Sandrine Martin (Director of the Botanica Group), around sixty business leaders from the region attended a conference on methods for achieving operational excellence in companies.

These managerial approaches are heavily inspired by foreign practices, particularly those of the United States. The objectives are to improve the various business sectors within a company.

Several points were discussed, such as “management through fun,” where different spaces are created within the company. The work environment is a crucial element for the proper functioning of a company. The creation of zen zones, group workspaces, etc., can boost employee productivity by a factor of four. Another element is the reduction of hierarchical levels, which greatly complicate internal communication and slow down responsiveness to problems.

The time spent on risk assessment, in turn, impacts the development of company activities and their productivity. Implementing these different aspects, according to various estimates, can reduce a company’s unnecessary costs by 25% of its turnover.

These few themes addressed during this meeting aim to achieve operational excellence in companies. It is a theme in constant evolution that requires continuous reassessment.
