Nice will increase its financial support to the C.C.A.S to strengthen aid to the most vulnerable and launch several projects in 2025. Among these are the construction of a nursing home, the rehabilitation of the Félix Faure site, and the creation of suitable housing.

The Board of Directors of the Communal Center for Social Action (C.C.A.S) of Nice met yesterday to discuss the budgetary orientations for 2025. In an economic context marked by inflation, the city of Nice has decided to increase its financial support. The goal is to strengthen support for the most vulnerable populations.

The mayor of Nice, Christian Estrosi, announced an increase in the municipal grant to the C.C.A.S. It will be raised to 20.94 million euros, an increase of 1.84 million euros. “This budget increase is much more than just an accounting adjustment: it represents a true political and social ambition towards the most vulnerable people,” he stated.

Thanks to this financial effort, several structuring projects will be launched in 2025. Among them, the construction of a new nursing home on Saint-Roch Street, with construction starting in June 2026. The rehabilitation of the Félix Faure site is also planned to accommodate the “Women’s House” and the “Pass’R’Elles” service, with a project scheduled for the end of 2025.

Other initiatives will also come to fruition, including the creation of a family pension on Fontaine Street and the development of five housing units for aging people with disabilities. This latter will be located within the Résidence Autonomie Gambetta. Delivery is expected in the third quarter of 2025.

Measures for all audiences

The C.C.A.S of Nice maintains its commitment to people in difficulty. It offers services adapted to seniors, with in-home maintenance solutions, recreational activities, and specific accommodations. For people in precarious situations, various reception and social support mechanisms are implemented. These will include day centers, emergency shelters, and social residences.

Women victims of violence will also benefit from enhanced support, with housing solutions and assistance in their processes.
