In 2025, the job market in PACA remains stable with significant recruitment in Marseille, Nice, and Monaco. Several sectors are seeking staff, particularly for the summer season.

In 2025, the job market in the PACA region shows a constant dynamic. In Marseille, for instance, over 4,000 job offers were recorded in January. Several sectors stand out for their significant recruitment volume.

The fields of health and social action, education, as well as transportation and warehousing are among the most active. The city plays a key role in the regional economy, concentrating a significant share of hires.

Recruitment needs in several sectors

Certain sectors generate a large number of opportunities. Five areas stand out for their volume of job offers between March 2024 and January 2025:

  • Specialized, scientific, and technical activities (nearly 30,000 offers)
  • Health and social action (26,000 offers)
  • Accommodation and food services (24,400 offers)
  • Retail and wholesale trade (24,300 offers)
  • Manufacturing industry (nearly 18,000 offers)

In Nice, airlines and large-scale retail are actively seeking staff. In Monaco, the hotel industry faces the same challenges. Recruiters are struggling to find staff for the summer season, especially in the fields of food service and tourism.

Companies like Boulangerie Ange, Homair Vacances, and Ortec Groupe contribute to this dynamic by recruiting in the region.

Despite these encouraging numbers, some jobs remain difficult to fill. This is the case for waiters, cooks, social and cultural activity professionals, as well as nursing aides and personal care assistants.

The year 2025 promises to be full of opportunities for many candidates, with recruitment prospects in several key sectors.
