The newspaper L’Équipe has revealed its ranking of the highest-paid players in Ligue 1. It shows that OGC Nice implements a salary policy combining a fixed salary and performance-based bonuses. Gaëtan Laborde is the highest-paid player with a gross monthly salary of 320,000 euros.

The newspaper L’Équipe recently detailed the salaries of players in Ligue 1. OGC Nice follows a unique salary policy, combining a fixed salary with bonuses based on collective performance and club objectives.

The Nice club has implemented a financial model aimed at rewarding players based on results. Qualification for a European cup, for example, results in additional bonuses. Participating in the Europa League group stage this season generated around 10 million euros in TV rights, a portion of which is redistributed to the players.

The club has also included a salary reduction clause in case of relegation to Ligue 2. This measure aims to ensure financial stability in the event of sporting difficulties.

The Highest-Paid Players

According to L’Équipe, Gaëtan Laborde is the club’s highest-paid player with a gross monthly salary of 320,000 euros. He is followed by Terem Moffi (295,000 euros) and Sofiane Diop (270,000 euros). Jérémie Boga, on the other hand, earns 225,000 euros per month.

Dante, the emblematic 41-year-old captain, no longer figures in the top 10 salaries. His fixed salary is around 100,000 euros gross, to which starting bonuses are added.

Players like Morgan Sanson (180,000 euros) and Tanguy Ndombélé (170,000 euros) benefit from remuneration aligned with their experience and status in Ligue 1.

OGC Nice seeks to manage its payroll while motivating its players. This strategy aims to allow the club to stabilize in Ligue 1 and remain competitive on the European stage.
