In 2024, cycling is honored in Nice, symbolized by the arrival of the Tour de France on the Promenade des Anglais. The Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis collaborates with a new application to facilitate cycling. The application is called Géovélo, it is free and will be very useful for Nice cyclists.
What is this application for?
Géovélo is already used in many areas in France, such as Paris, Lyon, Toulouse, Bordeaux, Nantes, Clermont, or even Rennes. It gives you access to the entire cycling ecosystem:
- Calculation and proposal of multiple and quick routes
- Proposal of leisure, tourist, or sports rides
- Location of secure on-street bike parking
- Location of repair and inflation zones as well as repairers
This tool also allows the metropolis to broadcast information on cycling news to bike users, and for users to submit their reports, etc. An interesting new feature for your next bike outing.
