A new chapter for the Sports Caravan: the Urban Areas

Latest News

The Sports Caravan, which traveled throughout the Alpes-Maritimes department all summer, is developing a new dynamic by getting closer to Urban Areas.

This will allow the youth to benefit, on the one hand, from municipal sports facilities and, on the other hand, from the diversity of sports offered by the Sports Caravan through the departmental committees.

The first date to remember is this Monday, December 23, starting at 10 AM at the Saint-Charles stadium, Saint Roch neighborhood in NICE.

Others will follow during the February and Easter holidays.

Today, the goal is to extend these events beyond social borders to allow young people from Urban Sensitive Zones (Z.U.S.) to access sports and instill in them the intrinsic values of Olympism.

The sports offered for free to children and young people aged 4 to 16 are as follows:

Athletics, Basketball, Physical Education in the Modern World (EPMM), Fencing, Field Hockey, Gymnastics, Handball, Judo, Wrestling, Pétanque, Raqball (UNSS), Workers’ Sports (FFST), Tennis, Table Tennis, Trampoline, Volleyball
