Philippe Auroy has been named General Manager of the Nice Côte d’Azur Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

With nearly 1,100 employees spread across about twenty establishments, the Nice Côte d’Azur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (the second largest in France) was previously operating with an interim General Management while waiting for its new General Manager.

Philippe AUROY, 47 years old, will join the Nice Côte d’Azur CCI as General Manager starting September 4th. In close collaboration with its president, Dominique ESTEVE, his mission will be to implement the group’s strategy as voted by the General Assembly of elected officials.

A proactive force, he will be involved in the many changes planned in the coming months: creation and support of the airport company, structuring of our service offering, reorganization of business scope, and evolution of internal organization in line with the expectations of our clients and partners. As the guarantor of coordination between departments within the various establishments, he will also be responsible for strengthening partnerships with the General Management of local authorities and other CCIs.

Biography:

Since 2003, he was the general manager of the SEGO group, a leader in the French graphic arts industry, which employs 600 people with a turnover of 80 million euros. He played a major role in repositioning the group within its competitive market: launching products, reorganizing, and managing major client accounts. In his role, he was also a member of the National Joint Commission for Employment (CPNE) and a member of the Employers’ Delegation for the negotiation of the Collective Agreement.

From 1999 to 2003, as a member of the Management Committee of the Amaury group, he held the position of Director of Organization and notably oversaw the printing operations (Éditions Philippe Amaury). He participated in the reorganization and set up of new manufacturing sites and was responsible for relationships across the group’s titles. Between 1987 and 1999, he successively held the roles of Operations Director and Director of Daily Newspapers at Nouvelles Messageries de la Presse Parisienne (NMPP).

An engineer and graduate of Centrale Lille, he complemented his education with a DESS in management from Dauphine; a university with which he has maintained ties since he has been teaching logistics courses in business there since 1987. He is married, father of two children, and has family ties in our region.
