Charles Ange Ginésy, President of the Alpes-Maritimes Department, announced on Friday, January 27th, the initial studies for the creation of a new secondary school in the Saint-Isidore district.

As part of the College 2028 plan, the Departmental Assembly has approved the initiation of preliminary studies for the construction of a 700-seat secondary school accompanied by a gymnasium. This project aims to continue the momentum of this rapidly expanding district. The institution, located on a site proposed by the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis (MNCA) on Chemin des Baraques, will benefit from optimal accessibility due to its proximity to the Eco-Parc tram stop (line 3).

This program is in line with the commitments made by the OIN EcoVallée partnership protocol, signed in 2019. It proposes the creation of a secondary school in the area to meet identified educational needs. After several land and urban studies conducted on different sites, the proposed site was chosen for its viability and suitability with the project’s requirements.
