The Dojo has tailored its programming along several lines that all develop around the specificity of the location itself. Artists must take over the space, think about the physical situation of the exhibition areas: the Dojo shares premises with Publicis Outremer, a communications consulting agency.
The programming most often features monographs and sometimes provides carte blanche to artists, collectives, or other associative structures that could develop a particular discourse there.
Above all, it is about being open to all forms of contemporary creation. The “networks of artists,” increasingly numerous and structured, are developing parallel to more “official” venues. The associative structure of the Dojo facilitates these kinds of meetings, openings, and invitations. It seemed appropriate to showcase the emerging Nice scene at the Dojo.
Opening on Thursday, November 3, 2005.
Exhibition from November 4th, 2005 to January 14th, 2005 with Lina Hentgen, Marion Orel, Isabelle Rey, Xavier Theunis, Thibaud Ware, David Ancelin, Pierre Descamps, and Jeremy Flandin.
