The Promenade des Anglais, still partially closed to traffic for about a kilometer, will be completely reopened on Monday, after the minute of silence scheduled at noon in tribute to the victims of the July 14th attack.
Pedestrian access to the entire Promenade was again authorized at midday on Saturday, as was the possibility of swimming, boating, and accessing the beaches, but for about a kilometer, on one side of the central median, between Boulevard Gambetta and the Théâtre de Verdure, traffic remained prohibited.
Thousands of people, on foot, came to the Promenade des Anglais throughout the weekend to pay tribute to the victims of the massacre.
Furthermore, a place for bereaved families to gather has been opened at the Palais Acropolis continuously to accommodate the families and relatives of the victims who wish to pay their respects.
