What can be done to prevent school violence, combat absenteeism, idleness, and the marginalization of young people? The answer might come from the General Council, which funds the first team of school mediators. This initiative is part of the departmental plan for children and families 2009-2013.
This action is organized in partnership with the association P@je, which works in social mediation.
This team conducts preventive actions around Jean Giono, Louis Nucéra, Victor Duruy, Antoine Risso, and Don Bosco middle schools.
Their mission is to prevent acts of violence and incivility and to identify absentee and idle minors. They work in collaboration with educational and pedagogical teams, as well as local residents and merchants.
They work to pacify numerous conflictual or delicate situations or those that could potentially become so.
