Starting May 21, 2025, the Ukrainian company SkyUp Airlines will offer two direct flights per week between Nice and Chișinau, the capital of Moldova. This new route is part of the expansion of the air network between the French Riviera and Eastern Europe.
SkyUp Airlines is continuing its expansion in Europe with this new route. The flights will operate on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Departure from Chișinau is scheduled for 3:50 PM with an arrival in Nice at 5:50 PM. The return flight will leave the French Riviera at 6:50 PM and land in Moldova at 10:25 PM (local times).
This announcement is part of SkyUp’s development strategy, which already operates flights to Athens, Paris, Lisbon, and Barcelona. The company, founded in 2016 and historically based in Odessa, relocated its operations center to Chișinau due to the conflict in Ukraine.
The Nice airport expands its network
The arrival of SkyUp on this route strengthens the offer of Nice Côte d’Azur airport to Eastern Europe. This route, already served by FlyOne, now offers travelers an alternative. It aims to facilitate tourism and economic exchanges between the French Riviera and Moldova.
“We wish to enhance connectivity between the region and Moldova, making travel easier for business travelers and tourists,” states the company.
Nice Côte d’Azur continues to expand its international network. Following EasyJet, United Airlines, and Volotea, SkyUp joins the airlines growing their presence on the Nice airport platform. In addition to Nice, it also offers flights between Beauvais and Chișinau.
