An afternoon for raising awareness on energy resilience

7

For the occasion of the National Resilience Day, an afternoon of awareness on energy resilience is organized this Thursday, October 13th. It will take place from 3 PM to 5 PM.

This afternoon is organized by the agency for health safety, environmental and risk management of the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis. Two experts will be present to discuss how the territory is prepared for the period of energy tension we are experiencing, as well as the approach of winter.

On the agenda:

  • Nicolas Martin, a lecturer at the University of Nice Côte d’Azur, will reflect on how industrial society has developed thanks to the “domestication” of energy, then he will explain the landscape of the energies currently used and the rise of renewable energies.
  • Yves Prufer, director of the Energy & Energy Performance service of the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis, will talk about energy resilience and will review the energy mix in the territory as well as the ongoing perspectives and behaviors that need to evolve.

An exhibition will also be available. It will aim to present the role and actions of the health safety agency. An idea of risk management in terms of prevention and crisis response will also be presented. You can see this under the arcades of Place Garibaldi.
