This January 6th, the TNN invites you to a one-of-a-kind slam evening with Jacky Ido, actor, director, and slammer. Join us at 7:30 PM in the La Cuisine hall.
The Théâtre National de Nice (TNN) kicks off the year with a meeting around slam, a spoken word art that combines creativity and sharing. This new event, scheduled over three evenings during the season, invites the public to discover and practice this exercise in speaking out.
An Open Stage for Everyone
Jacky Ido, the master of ceremonies for this evening, will welcome participants with kindness. No competition, no stakes: the goal is to share texts, emotions, and experiences. The event aims to be inclusive and friendly. A stage will be available for those who wish to read their creations or simply listen to those of others.
To encourage the more timid, an original initiative has been set up: “a verse read, a drink offered”. A fun way to motivate participants to take the plunge.
The first edition, last November, brought together about fifty people. Many participants shared their texts and exchanged with Jacky Ido, creating a warm and conducive atmosphere for expression.
Practical Information
The evening is free and open to everyone. It will take place this Monday, January 6, 2025, at 7:30 PM. The meeting point is La Petite Cuisine, the café-restaurant of the La Cuisine hall. The last date of the season is scheduled for Monday, March 3.
Whether you are an aspiring slammer or just an enthusiast, this evening is a great opportunity to celebrate words and listening.
