From June 10 to September 24, 2023, the Charles Nègre Photography Museum will host the works of American photographer Jeffrey Conley. The exhibition “An Ode to Nature” presents black and white photographs of wild nature, highlighting both its beauty and the need for its preservation.

For all of us, our existence depends on the Earth. In a hostile universe, our small blue planet provides us with absolutely everything.

This reflection undoubtedly guides the photographer’s eye as he captures a nature in motion and in constant evolution. Developed in a darkroom using the platinum process, the chiaroscuro photographs enhance the strength and fragility of an almost dreamlike flora. Thus, these unsettling landscapes highlight the supremacy of nature.

The exhibition invites a wandering from the United States to New Zealand, passing through Iceland and even Switzerland. Through this exhibition, the Charles Nègre Museum aims to raise public awareness of environmental responsibilities. Highlighting the beauty of nature to show the importance of its preservation.
