An online petition “for Henry-Jean Servat to regain his animal delegation” surpasses 1,500 signatures.

Dismissed from his delegations at the end of June by Christian Estrosi, the fervent animal defender has not given up his commitment to animals. Since then, the stream of online support continues and a petition has even been created in his favor.

“Mr. Estrosi, put politics aside a little and act with your heart and sensitivity, restore the animal delegation to Mr. Servat, at least do it for the animals because they didn’t ask for anything,” urges the author of the petition. This person named Régis identifies as a “simple citizen.” He himself is an advocate for animal welfare.

His current fight is to ensure that the Nice delegation returns to “our national Brigitte Bardot,” he writes. That is why he has decided to “challenge the mayor of Nice through a petition” entitled: “FOR HENRY-JEAN SERVAT TO REGAIN HIS ANIMAL DELEGATION!”.

Posted online on July 14, it has been signed by more than 1,500 internet users. Henry-Jean Servat thanked this stranger on Twitter, once again not in his name, but on behalf of all the animals.

Henry-Jean Servat replaced by Richard Chemla

At the city hall, Henry-Jean Servat seems to already be a thing of the past. It is Richard Chemla who has inherited the mission of animal protection. Already an assistant for health, ecology, and well-being, the doctor does not seem at all inclined to leave his post.

On the contrary, on his Twitter account, on July 17, he sought to be reassuring: “I want to reassure some concerned people, the animal delegation entrusted to me by @cestrosi is at the center of our teams’ concerns.” He even mentions preparing the program for the new school year.

Henry-Jean Servat held two municipal delegations: one for cinema and one for animal protection. He lost them one after the other on June 21 and 22. The friend of the stars was dismissed by the mayor, notably for making critical remarks about the city’s cultural policy. He then officially asked Christian Estrosi to regain his delegations.

The power of social media

After being fired by Christian Estrosi, it was online that he received a wave of national support from associations, celebrities, political parties, and many citizens across France. In the local political sphere, he received an outstretched hand from the group Retrouver Nice and notable support from Éric Ciotti.

Delegation or not, his battles have not ceased, and his status as a spokesperson seems to have withstood this affair. It is on the bluebird social platform where he shares his battles daily. Very active, very popular, and evidently very comfortable, it is on this platform that the municipal councilor of the majority continues his work, without an official delegation.

A few days after being dismissed, on June 26, he, for instance, intervened to save the forty sheep crammed into an apartment in Liserons in Nice, on the eve of Eid. He proposed to intervene with the Brigitte Bardot Foundation then.

More recently, he has capitalized on the case of the 250 cats and dogs found crammed into a 70 square meter apartment in the center of Nice to launch a rescue appeal.
