Aroma-Zone opened its 12th store in France a few months ago. On this occasion, Nice Premium met with Sabrina Herlory, CEO of the company for the past year, to discuss natural skincare and beauty.
Natural Expert in Skincare and Beauty
A regional brand pioneering in aromatherapy and a natural expert in skincare and beauty for oneself, one’s family, and home, its mission is to democratize a more natural lifestyle in the broadest sense.
In 20 years, Aroma-Zone has become the go-to brand in the aromatherapy and homemade cosmetics sector.
Aroma-Zone Moves to Nice

At the heart of Nice, on Jean-Médecin Avenue, we find a 187m² space over 2 levels dedicated to aromatherapy and homemade cosmetics.
In the spring, a workshop store will open at CAP 3000. You will be able to learn about aromatherapy, homemade cosmetics, and soap making through training sessions.
It All Started with a Blog
Aroma-Zone was founded by Valérie and Anne Vausselin, two engineer sisters who are also passionate about essential oils, plants, and ancient remedies. The project was born in 1999. Initially, the sisters shared their tips and advice on their blog. Then, at the turn of the 2000s, readers began requesting the production of certain oils, so premises were set up in Provence. In response to community demand, the brand went on to open four large concept stores: Paris Odéon, Paris Haussmann, Lyon, and Paris Les Halles, and then throughout France: Marseille, Lille, Lyon, Metz, Montpellier, Strasbourg, and Toulouse.
Values and Commitments
Aroma-Zone is a 100% natural brand with a strong environmental commitment. The products are made to be as highly concentrated as possible with the best quality raw materials, while reducing all controversial preservatives.
For them, the value of knowledge transmission is paramount. Scientific knowledge and rigor are highly valued. For these reasons, in-store and/or on the website, you will find product data sheets, explanatory panels, and experts to advise you.
Inclusivity is just as important. They are convinced that better consumption is primarily economic. They position their products to be highly accessible so that a healthier, more reasoned, natural, and ecological lifestyle becomes available to as many people as possible.
Moreover, these ecological values are reflected around their products. For instance, the Nice store is made of sustainable, reusable, and recyclable materials. The Zero Waste initiative and complete recyclability are applied to the store concept and orders.
“All the topics we tackle: a product or a store opening, we make sure that everything is designed to have the least possible impact on the planet, even though we still have areas to progress on.”
Sabrina Herlory
Less is More
The Aroma-Zone concept aims to be simple, playful, straightforward, natural, and warm so that the products are at the heart of the presentation. The focus is on the product and its effectiveness. For these reasons, they strive for the product materials to be primary, pure, undiluted, and of very high quality, while attempting to eliminate all superfluous packaging.
They respond simply to the community’s needs, which are very concrete, pragmatic, and sensible. Thus, they can invest the money saved from unnecessary expenses into product quality.
Guaranteed Low Prices
But how to explain these low prices with such quality? Sabrina Herlory explained that there are no intermediaries; it’s an integrated model from producer to distribution, working directly with their product producers. Additionally, there is no marketing. “We give back a portion of the value to the customer, and it’s a model that is very virtuous.”
Listening to Consumers
Aroma-Zone only responds to the desires and needs of its customers. A committed community that seeks to consume better for themselves and the planet. Due to shared environmental values, consumers are very demanding and expect a lot from the product, service, and traceability.
The Essentials
Now let’s talk about the flagship products!
- The hyaluronic acid serum is often in high demand. And for a good reason, it is the most concentrated on the market with 2.5% hyaluronic acid.
- For hair, Sabrina Herlory suggests the hair mask rich in Jojoba, Castor oil, and Shea butter.
- To take care of your skin, Aroma-Zone recommends the youth cream “which will give you baby-soft skin.”
- As for makeup, a 100% natural mascara for 4.95 euros is now available. It also acts as a treatment thanks to the castor oil in its composition.
