From icy expanses to the Gobi Desert, passing through the vast pastures where nomads reign, from the legendary Samarkand to Iran, Tuul and Bruno Morandi have followed in the footsteps of the gigantic nomadic cavalry.

Recognized specialists of this vast territory, they deliver sumptuous images collected from the most remote places and offer a reflection on this astounding history.

One was born on the steppe, the other by the sea. Despite the thousands of kilometers that separated them, the meeting indeed happened, and for many years, these two photographers have shared their life and passion.

After growing up in the Mongolian steppe and living a nomadic childhood, Tuul came to Paris to pursue a master’s degree in the field of culture and developed a passion for graphic art and photography.

Trained as an architect, Bruno spends every summer in his paternal Tuscany. One can guess that these landscapes of hills, where the light always retains a painterly quality, have influenced his vision and love of travel.

With rigor and passion, the two photographers now traverse the world in search of fleeting moments. Their images reveal moments of truth that punctuate universal daily life; they are an invitation to travel, a pretext to meditate on the fragile beauty of the world.

For years, in all seasons, they have explored every corner of the Mongolian steppe to bear witness to this last nomadic country that still resists globalization.
