In the context of a new policy supporting creators and to promote the influence of theater and live arts in Nice and beyond, the municipality is implementing a creation support program managed by the Nice Theatre-Live Arts Hub.
As a true resource center dedicated to professionals, this recently established municipal structure has been assigned three missions:
– Cultural development: advice and assistance, skill enhancement, provision of workspaces, equipment, etc.;
– Promotion: development and promotion of projects, integrating theater into cultural events in Nice;
– Land planning and audience expansion: creating synergies between different cultural and educational partners.
The companies benefiting from this new creation support program will be selected by a jury of professionals from the Nice National Theatre, the National Conservatory of Regional Influence, the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis, the Regional Directorate of Cultural Action PACA, and the City of Nice.
For this first call for projects of the year 2017, applications must be submitted by Friday, March 10, 2017.
