The EDHEC group demonstrates its commitment to the development of entrepreneurship and participates in the National Business Angels Days by hosting the Mediterranean Investment Business Angels.
The goal of the National Business Angels Days is to raise public awareness about the economic role of Business Angels and to increase their numbers. This can only be achieved by provoking the creation of new networks and developing those that already exist. Indeed, while some of these networks are open today, they often remain not very visible, sometimes confidential.
Who are the Business Angels? How to become a Business Angel? What are the benefits? How to approach them? Representatives of Mediterranean Investment answered these crucial questions for future business angels as well as for project holders.
Business Angels have great flexibility in their decision-making because what matters to them is the potential of the company and the personality of the entrepreneurs who present themselves. The project and the people involved must appeal to them. It is their own wealth at stake, not public funds managed by a financial institution.
The debate was led by Charles Lumbers, Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship at EDHEC, who highlighted the importance of the support provided by Business Angels to the entrepreneur throughout the life of the company, not only on financial aspects but also on strategic and technical aspects. Business Angels are often very experienced former businessmen eager to share their expertise. An interactive Q&A session with the crowded room complemented their presentations. This event reflects the willingness of the EDHEC group to actively contribute to the economic life through the dynamism of entrepreneurship.
