Nowadays, in an unlikely place – let’s say a literary and artistic circle – gathered around a cocktail, actors and spectators mingle, thus blurring the boundary between reality and imagination to immerse themselves together in a whimsical and fantastic universe where, at every moment, the essential is at stake: life, social utility, belief, art, love. A better world.

Long kept secret and neglected, Bulgakov has given us a work now revealed and full of meaning, presenting a certain reality in order to change it. We have wandered through his exuberant writings, critical views on society, the world of art, and power. In his tragic and uproarious satires, we have collected stories, situations, and characters. So many universes between realism and fantasy where the rustle of dresses, amused winks, the scent of vodka, the clinking of glasses, the glances, all these insignificant details matter as much, if not more, than the words. In these kinetic microcosms, fluctuating with the diversity of actions, conversations, entrances, and exits of characters, the absence of stage and frontal relationship, the video image, the protean play space, and the spectator’s position are all elements that lead us to produce a fantastic farce in which invention is queen and the actor king.
Simply, you do not know what theater is. There are many machines in the world, but theater is the most complicated of all.
