This Tuesday, July 16, the launch for donations for the Crédit Municipal’s charity auction, which will be held on October 17, took place. The goal? To obtain proceeds that will be donated to associations in Nice working with people with disabilities or facing autism spectrum disorders.
The call for donations has been launched for the charity auction that will take place on October 17. Under the initiative of Magali Altounian, Deputy Mayor, the Crédit Municipal has decided to partner with the City of Nice to organize this charity auction. Items, furniture, decorations… Each donation is awaited and accepted. It is a “donation based on the value of the object and not on the income of the users,” as explained by Alexandre Delattre, Director of Crédit Municipal.
A popular and universal charity sale
Among the donations are those from several artists like Léa Vandeveld and Barnabe, as well as contributions from athletes and entrepreneurs. The idea is that everyone can participate. The aim is to encourage broad participation, allowing for greater support and a more significant impact. The organizers will donate the profits to associations that assist people with disabilities. Among the associations are: Un Sourire pour Enzo, GEMA 06, Ma place à moi, Approche Globale Autisme, and APEDV REGARDDONS Ensemble.
A call for solidarity
During the launch, these different associations all expressed gratitude and appreciation for this charitable initiative. The associations will be able to explore new opportunities, improve their presence, and strengthen their commitments. Thanks to this auction and inter-associative solidarity, they will be able to consider funding other activities. All of this depends on the generosity of individuals, the commitment of participants, and citizens. “An opportunity to do something meaningful. It is something beautiful and innovative for the benefit of families in need. It is important for the city to have this energy and enthusiasm at the heart of this solidarity,” says Jennifer Salles.

Crucial aid
As Jennifer Salles mentioned, each contribution, whether small or large, has the potential to make a significant difference. It helps support this cause, helps families, those who are assisted, and the caregivers. It is a demonstration of compassion and solidarity. Participating means providing these associations with resources and enabling the expansion of their actions. It’s more than just donating an object: it’s about giving hope, opportunity, and a chance to those who need it the most. For this, each person wishing to make a donation is invited to come from tomorrow and throughout the summer at the Crédit Municipal in Nice to drop off items. The lots will then be cataloged and displayed before being sold at the auction on October 17, 2024.
