Here we go again, it’s Wednesday, and here are the movie releases of the week. As always, we offer you a diverse selection to satisfy all curiosities.

1. Babylon by Damien Chazelle

Here is finally the new film by Damien Chazelle, director of the famous Whiplash and La La Land. This time, the filmmaker immerses us in Los Angeles in the 1920s, during the creation of Hollywood. We follow the rise of colorful characters, played by exceptional actors such as Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie, and Diego Calva, to name a few. We are delighted to discover an explosive epic that depicts the decadence of this unique period, all in a film with astounding ambition.

2. La Guerre des Lulus by Yann Samuell

A film set at the dawn of World War I in a small village in Picardie. We will follow the adventures of a group of young orphans called the “Lulus gang.” During an evacuation of their orphanage, the young companions find themselves directly faced with the terrible conflict. Immersed in the heart of war, this group of children provides an innocent and carefree viewpoint, offering a fresh tone to this historical period often depicted in cinema.

3. Earwig by Lucile Hadzihalilovic

A dark drama, set in a Europe still haunted by the shadow of war. We follow Albert, a man taking care of Mia, a young girl with ice dentures. Albert regularly receives phone calls from a mysterious character with a deep voice, asking about the girl. A particularly intriguing feature film that promises a gripping narrative and offers aesthetically fantastic imagery.

4. Youssef Salem a du succès by Baya Kasmi

Youssef Salem is a 45-year-old writer with a rather lackluster career. But his life takes a surprising turn when his latest novel meets unexpected success. A book that tells the story of his family, in good times, but especially in the worst. Youssef’s relatives do not appreciate this attention, and the writer finds himself in an embarrassing situation. A sparkling comedy that speaks of family at its best and worst.

5. Le Clan by Eric Fraticelli

In this comedy straight from Corsica, we meet four gangsters: Fred, Achille, Max, and Belette. After botching their last job, they attempt to rebuild their reputation by kidnapping none other than Sophie Marceau. A film with sharp dialogues and striking humor, not to be missed in our dark theaters starting today.
