Clarika in concert at the TLV in Nice

Latest News

Daughter of a literature teacher and a politically exiled Hungarian poet, Claire Kesze, alias Clarika, has produced 4 albums and hundreds of concerts. On stage, Clarika feels right at home. Her lyrics humorously critique her generation—without excluding herself—using poetry and wordplay.

Indeed, for 15 years now, Clarika has been one of the pioneers daring to write in a new feminine style, blending defiance, irony, and tenderness. She has the art of transforming the banality of everyday life into a poetic escape, enhancing even the simplest of words.

In March 2009, Clarika released her fifth album “Moi en mieux,” co-produced by the highly talented Florent Marchet and the no less talented and very loyal Jean-Jacques Nyssen. In this album, her deceptively naive, beautifully poetic, and gently childlike writing perfectly captures our ordinary or flamboyant feelings, giving them a discreet and rare elegance. This new album is a concentrate of her art! www.clarika.net and www.myspace.com/iamclarika
