Therefore, with the pedagogical guidance provided by teachers and cultural partners, students build the foundations of a cinematic culture related to the study of images, types of scripts, and modes of staging.

The General Council of Alpes-Maritimes covers the entry fees for the cinemas and the transportation of students. The Mercury cinema, owned by the Department, participates in the initiative.

70 students from Henri Matisse and Antoine Risso schools will watch during this event “Dancing Dreams, On the Steps of Pina Bausch” directed by Anne Linsel and Rainer Hoffmann.

In 2008, Pina Bausch, a few months before her death, decided to reprise her famous show “Kontakhof” with 40 teenagers who had never been on stage and had never danced. Most of them had responded to an announcement made at their school without truly knowing what they were getting into. They become the main characters of this documentary film, which spans a year dedicated to the preparation of the piece.
