Concert of the Saint Petersburg Conservatory to conclude the Franco-Russian meeting

At the closing of the 4th Franco-Russian meeting on decentralized cooperation organized in Nice this weekend, the Nice conservatory is hosting its Russian counterpart for an exceptional concert by its symphony orchestra.

The concert took place this Saturday at the Joseph Kosma auditorium of the Regional National Conservatory (CNRR) Pierre Cochereau in Nice, in the presence of Muriel Marland-Militello, Deputy Delegate for Cultural Outreach, Leonid Kadyshev, Minister-Counselor of the Russian Embassy in France, and Mikhail Gantvarg, Director of the Saint Petersburg Conservatory.

The program included TCHAIKOVSKY’s Violin Concerto and the famous SHEHERAZADE by RIMSKY-KORSAKOV.

The Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory of Saint Petersburg is the oldest music school in Russia. It celebrates its 150th anniversary in 2012. Many talents have studied at this prestigious conservatory, including Peter Tchaikovsky, Sergey Prokofiev, Dmitry Shostakovich, and Yevgeny Mravinsky.
