A conference on colorectal cancer screening will take place in Nice on Tuesday, March 25, at the Stockfish Hall. Specialists will explain the importance of the test and answer questions from the public.
Every year, colorectal cancer affects more than 43,000 people in France. When detected at an early stage, it can be cured in nine out of ten cases. However, participation in screening remains insufficient.
To raise public awareness, an information conference is being organized for free in Nice this Tuesday, March 25, 2025. It will be held at the Stockfish, 5 avenue François Mitterrand from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM. This event will bring together healthcare professionals and screening specialists to inform and answer questions from the public. To register, you can click here.
Many personalities from the medical world will be present at this conference. Among the invited guests are Professor Jean-François Seitz and Doctors Patrick Delasalle, Ludovic Evesque, and Joseph Sicurani.
Field Actions
In addition to the conference, several local initiatives are being implemented. Information booths will be set up to inform those present on-site. Healthcare professionals will be mobilized to raise public awareness.
The main message of this campaign is clear: “The screening test is simple, quick, and effective. It can save lives.”
The objective is to increase the screening participation rate, which is still too low. In France, it reaches only 34.3% while the national target is 65%.
This campaign reminds us that prevention is a major public health issue. It encourages everyone to take the test and talk about it to others.
