The anticipation is growing for the 11th historical re-enactment of the Coppa Milano-Sanremo, the oldest race in Italy, which will take place from March 28 to 30. It will be held with the same spirit and passion of the “gentlemen drivers” who created it in 1906, but with many new logistical and sporting features.
On a route of nearly 700 kilometers, the event will take place in Lombardy, Piedmont, and Liguria before finishing in the Principality of Monaco, touching cities and landscapes with timeless charm.
The race will start on Thursday, the 28th, with the meeting of the crews at the Autodromo di Monza, where technical and sporting checks, free laps on the track, and the inaugural car parade will take place.
Saturday, March 30, will be the decisive day when the crews will have to undertake the final special stages: from Rapallo, they will tackle the treacherous curves of the Turchino Pass, Faiallo Pass, and Melogno Pass, then descend towards Sanremo, aiming to reach the finish by the end of the day.
To give the competition a more international flair, the Coppa Milano-Sanremo, after arriving in the City of Flowers, will move this year to Monte Carlo for the gala dinner and final awards ceremony.
