Meeting with the General Manager of Qualistéo, an innovative company dedicated to reducing industrial energy consumption worldwide.
Élodie Bondi, a graduate in international law, has carved out an exceptional career in the field of innovation and energy transition. Today, as the General Manager of Qualistéo, she leads a company specialized in measuring and reducing industrial energy consumption globally. Founded in 2010, Qualistéo has become a key player in the field of Smart Metering, with operations in more than forty countries.
How did your professional journey lead you to become the General Manager of Qualistéo?
After obtaining a Master’s degree in international law, I quickly steered my career towards innovation dedicated to energy transition and the environment. Initially, I started as a financial director in a start-up specializing in solar thermal energy. Then in 2014, I joined Qualistéo as a financial director before becoming General Manager in 2017. What motivated me throughout my career was the desire to give meaning to my work, particularly in the field of energy transition and energy savings. This passion led me to fully commit to the Qualistéo adventure.
What is Qualistéo and its main activities?
Qualistéo helps industries reduce their energy consumption worldwide. We manufacture multi-metric measurement systems capable of monitoring various energy consumption types such as water, gas, steam, and of course, electricity. Then we develop software that collects and analyzes these data, allowing companies to optimize their energy consumption. Our solutions are used in about forty countries.
What does Smart Metering involve?
Smart Metering, or intelligent metering, is at the heart of our technology. It consists of non-intrusive measurement systems that we manufacture, capable of retrieving and analyzing information on all the energies consumed at an industrial site. These systems are quickly installed and connect to local infrastructures to provide a complete overview of energy consumption.
You are currently organizing a recruitment campaign. What can you say about it?
Indeed, we are in the midst of accelerating our development, which leads us to strengthen our teams in all domains: technical, software, administrative, financial, and commercial. We are looking to recruit talents in Nice who share our vision of energy transition.
What does the renewal of the Greentech Innovation label represent for you, and what benefits does it bring to Qualistéo?
The Greentech Innovation label, awarded by the State, is a valuable recognition of our commitment to energy transition. Therefore, it not only strengthens our credibility with our partners and clients but also allows us to participate in national events and benefit from strategic connections with large groups.
How does Qualistéo contribute to reducing companies’ carbon footprints?
Our mission is indeed to help companies consume less energy because the cleanest energy is the one that is not consumed. By reducing their energy consumption, our clients directly decrease their greenhouse gas emissions. This is particularly significant in countries where the energy mix is still very carbon-intensive.
What are the current environmental challenges that you consider priorities for Qualistéo?
For Qualistéo, the social impact today is just as important as the environmental impact. We are working to strengthen our actions in favor of our employees while maintaining our commitment to reducing our clients’ energy consumption internationally.
