A Festival is too short! concludes with its closing night this Friday, October 14th, at the Cinémathèque de Nice Acropolis. No fewer than 16 awards are presented to short films from various competitions. The moment of the results has finally arrived.
Numerous awards were presented to the winners by juries in the selected competitions of this European Short Film Festival. Here is the list of the happy winners of this colorful festival.
European Jury
- Grand Prize: “To Vancouver” by Artemis Anastasiadou
- Best Screenplay: “Masques” by Olivier Smolders
- Special Mention for Screenplay: “Sami la fugue” by Vincent Tricon
- Special Jury Prize: “Letter to a Pig” by Tal Kantor
- Best Male Performance: Mohamed Al Khansa in the film “Warsha” by Dania Bdeir (Tied with) John Chelhot in the film “Barzakh”
- Best Female Performance: Stéphane Caillard in the film “Lucienne dans un monde sans solitude”
Documentary Jury
- Jury Prize: “Handbuch” by Pavel Mozhar
- Special Mention: Tied “Masques” by Olivier Smolders and “Love Dad” by Cas Van Nguyen

As every year, this festival is indeed too short, but the audience was certainly present this year. An edition that was met with great success, leaving us with only one desire, to already be at next year’s 2023 edition.
