Football: end of the saga, Galtier finally joins OGCN

Latest News

After weeks of negotiations, “the affair” has reached its conclusion as evidenced by the statement from the Nice club: “OGC Nice is pleased to confirm the appointment of Christophe Galtier as the new head coach, with immediate effect. Galtier comes from Lille, where he won the Ligue 1 title last season (2020-2021) and was named Ligue 1 Coach of the Year for the third time.”

The Aiglons are returning to training behind closed doors, after a five-week break, which this week starts with a series of medical and physical tests before getting back to the ball midweek. 25 players were called up this Monday morning, including Brazilian player Dante, who rejoins the group after his severe knee injury.

Many young players from the training center are also present, as well as the first summer signing, defender Jean-Clair Todibo, who has committed long-term to the Gym after a successful six-month loan in red and black. Many international players will return gradually until July 5.

LOSC will receive a compensation of nearly 5 million (unofficial source).
