This Friday, OGC Nice travels to Lille to kick off the 23rd day of L1 (kick-off at 8:45 PM).
There is only one change compared to the medical update that preceded the victory against Nîmes. It concerns Ihsan Sacko. Suspended against the Crocodiles, the forward is suffering from an ankle sprain contracted this week during training.
Entered the match in the 82nd minute against Nîmes last Saturday (2-0), Pierre Lees-Melou returned to the field after more than a month’s absence. In a press conference, the midfielder reassured about his state of health this Wednesday.
“I had a minor physical issue (ankle sprain during Strasbourg – Nice on December 22), but everything is back to normal. I would like to thank the medical staff who took great care of me. Coming on against Nîmes was a small reward for me after two weeks of training with the group. Currently, I feel good, everything is going well for me.”
Patrick Vieira, for his part, stated that “this match in Lille will be very important to give a somewhat clearer idea of what the team can or cannot aspire to at the end of the season (…). Playing Lille and Lyon consecutively will be a big test. LOSC is a skilled and very balanced team. We beat them in the first leg, but watch out for them at home on Saturday!”
