This is the latest offer from the department: a 500€ check for 18-24-year-olds who engage in climate missions. And the reward goes up to €700 for scholarship holders.
“The GREEN Deal is a cornerstone of my policy. The world of tomorrow is being shaped today, and young people are already the main actors, immersed in this climate challenge and concerned about a sustainable society,” said Charles Ange Ginésy, the president of the department. The GREEN deal is the tool implemented by the department to support the ecological transition of the territory. Thus, the department expects its young people to “get involved.” In return for 50 hours of volunteering spread over a maximum of one year, the department offers a payment of 500 to 700€. A payment that is sure to motivate the youth…
“This measure is also a way to affect their purchasing power and bring new active forces to the associative sector. I am betting on long-term vocations for our common good and quality of life in the Alpes-Maritimes.”
Charles-Ange Ginésy
In addition to encouraging young people’s commitment to the climate, Charles-Ange Ginésy highlights the benefit of this program for the professional future of the department’s youth.
