On Friday, March 8th, which is International Women’s Day, two men will be in the spotlight at the FNAC in Nice starting at 5 PM. The two authors from the emerging Nice-based publishing house “Du Bailli De Suffren” will be signing their works “My Friend the Evil” and “13 Stories and a Reverie” on the top floor of the Nice establishment.
Franck Viano needs no introduction in Nice. Between creating the online daily Nice Premium, working at the Nice City Hall, and promoting Niçoise cuisine with his victory on the M6 show “Un dîner presque parfait,” his taste for writing novels has long been secondary. However, today, it’s with passion that he presents his book “My Friend the Evil” during book fairs and signing sessions. He especially enjoys meeting convinced or potential readers and engaging in discussions about his favorite topic: crime novels. He will also provide a sneak peek of his next novel: “Nissart Killer.”
Michel Cals, a traveler and literary writer, is originally from Haut-Languedoc. Attached to his roots, he also loves living in Nice, where he teaches at the School of Journalism after retiring from his academic career. His journey in the National Education system allowed him to teach in the Maghreb and the Indian Ocean, places from which he drew inspiration for his stories, where he transcribes his emotions, encounters, and adventures. A literature professor, he advocates for a resonant language and a rich vocabulary that transports the reader to a world of travel and dreams.
Two personalities to meet this Friday at the FNAC in Nice, and two books to discover: one is a crime novel with a hint of fantasy, and the other a series of stories and a reverie with a lively literary style.
And since this day will be dedicated to women, you won’t be forgotten, Ladies, as a small surprise will be offered to all those who leave with one of the two books.
