GEOFFROY ROUX DE BEZIEUX presented his candidacy program for the presidency of MEDEF yesterday afternoon at UPE06.
A candidate focused on business, who wants to restore the image of entrepreneurial France. Moreover, he defines himself as “a visionary candidate who wishes to bring prosperity to France.”
For the past five years, Geoffroy Roux de Bezieux has served as the deputy vice-president of MEDEF, in charge of the economy, taxation, and digital affairs. These years have been a battle to counter policies hostile to business.
However, not everything could be accomplished in five years, and France is still far from the level of growth that our entrepreneurs are capable of achieving. This commitment has primarily allowed Geoffroy Roux de Bezieux to gauge both the potential of MEDEF and its limitations, in the face of changes transforming French businesses.
But today, things are changing… He declares: “We cannot ask the French to change if we ourselves are not capable of questioning ourselves.”
For Geoffroy Roux de Bezieux, it is time to rethink the functioning and organization of MEDEF. Revisiting priorities, social dialogue, governance and representation, as well as financing and communication.
The media often refer to the president of MEDEF as the “boss of bosses”: “I believe rather that he must be the voice of entrepreneurs. That’s what I intend to embody if you trust me next July,” was the message he wanted to convey during his visit to Nice, where he met his colleagues from the Alps-Maritimes.
