The players of OGC Nice Handball and Nice Volleyball have been honored for their remarkable sports season.

Hip hip hooray! Such was the atmosphere during the reception held in honor of the women’s handball team and the men’s volleyball team. It was a moment to celebrate the performances of these two elite teams during the 2018/2019 season.

All the staff and players received an award in the presence of Christian Estrosi, José Cobos, and the presidents of the two awarded clubs—Ange Ferracci for the OGC Nice Women’s Handball and Alain Griguer for the Nice Men’s Volleyball.

“An Exceptional Season”

The Volleyball team made its president proud. “It’s the recognition of all the hard work of the club. Awards are rare in sports, and being recognized by the City is very enjoyable,” shared Alain Griguer.

On the Handball side, the president highlighted the club’s performances: “We’ve hit our stride to maintain regular performance, and I believe the club is now sustainable. Winning 27 out of 30 matches is indeed an exceptional season,” expressed Ange Ferracci, his eyes filled with pride.

Meanwhile, Christian Estrosi emphasized that “two years ago, we would not have imagined such performances. I think it promises some very exciting matches next year, and it also highlights women’s sports.”
