Defeated on Tuesday in Amiens (3-2), the Nice team responded well tonight against the Briançon Red Devils, who suffered a second consecutive loss.
Trailing 2-1 at mid-game, the Eagles took advantage of a power play to equalize through Ondrej Kopta (2-2; 31″54). The Czech forward also scored the fourth goal for Nice, ten minutes after Jesse Pelamo made it 3-2.
The team from Nice thus made the most of the first of two home games this weekend to enhance their standings. On Sunday, by hosting Mulhouse, they can complete the task and secure a spot in the Top 8, which remains the season’s goal.
