Statement from Nissa Rebela
We learned today that the Avicenne association, an association aimed at promoting and managing the Islamic college of La Trinité, had filed a complaint against Nissa Rebela. This complaint follows the action taken by the identitarians on December 17th.
During the night, activists broadcast the call of the muezzin – the Muslim call to prayer – in the streets of La Trinité and distributed leaflets expressing Nissa Rebela’s opposition to the opening of the future Islamic college. Thus, this operation aimed to awaken, both literally and figuratively, the residents of La Trinité.
Apparently, the Avicenne association believes that it should be forbidden to criticize its project and is attempting to put pressure on the identitarians through judicial means. Philippe Vardon, president of Nissa Rebela, is expected to be questioned by the national police in the coming days.
The behavior adopted by the Avicenne association, its intolerance of criticism, and its refusal to engage in dialogue demonstrate the legitimacy of the concerns expressed by the identitarians regarding this institution. Let us recall that the petition initiated by Nissa Rebela against the Islamic college has already gathered over 1,000 signatures.
Yesterday, today, and tomorrow, we will continue to loudly and clearly proclaim our opposition to this Islamic college project. No madrasas in the County of Nice!
