La Gaude: Jazz Concert and Cinema

Latest News

On May 20th, a concert blending jazz and cinema will be held at Salle de la Coupole in La Gaude at 8:30 PM. The SO WHAT COMPANY and actress-vocalist Julie DURAND will perform during this evening in support of the DAY CENTER for Alzheimer’s patients, organized by the PROVENCE BALCONS LIONS CLUB.

The first part of the concert will feature jazz, followed by an improvisation on Jean Vigo’s silent film shot in 1930, “À Propos de Nice,” in the second part.
The So What Company has been practicing the written and improvised music of the 21st century for ten years: an exhilarating music of listening and respect between musicians.
With an unprecedented “summit” meeting that So What and the Lions have decided to offer thanks to the presence of Julie Durand as a “guest star,” a young vocalist and actress who will also be at the Cannes festival on Wednesday to present “Escalade,” a film by Charlotte Silvera, where she plays one of the students who take their principal hostage.

The evening will open with the winners of the 1st Gaudois Musical Trophy.
