La Note Bleue presents Meddy Gerville to you.

Latest News

After New York, Haiti, and Cape Verde, he participated in numerous festivals such as the Essaouira Festival in Morocco or the Marciac Festival in France. His repertoire results from an incredible musical blend, reflecting the cultural landscape of Reunion Island. It is a meeting of multiple influences, from the Indian Ocean to the surrounding metropolises!

Maloya and Séga, major musical genres of Reunion Island, provide a traditional rhythmic base that the young musician masters perfectly. A former student of the C.I.M, a school of jazz and contemporary music in Paris, he then enriches this with his melodic and harmonic touch.

This is where jazz comes into play. Without losing sight of the “song” spirit that makes his compositions unique…

Meddy Gerville will be in concert, accompanied by a renowned quartet: Michel Alibo on bass, Jérome Calciné on percussion, Stéphane Guillaume on saxophone, and Nicolas Viccaro on drums, at La Note Bleue (Monte-Carlo) on Thursday, July 1st, Friday, July 2nd, and Saturday, July 3rd, 2010.
