Meeting with Nina Métayer: Between Culinary Art and AI

14

Tomorrow, at the Palais de la Méditerranée, pastry chef Nina Métayer will be present to discover a unique creation. One of her pastries will be revisited through a collaboration between expertise and artificial intelligence. This event is part of a conference organized by the EuropIA Institute on the links between AI and creativity.

The EuropIA Institute, in partnership with the Alpes-Maritimes Department, is organizing a conference on the theme “AI and Art: Towards a New Era of Creativity”. The evening will bring together experts from various fields. Among them are Marianne Carpentier (audiovisual art), Raphaël Doan (literary art), and Nina Métayer (culinary art), recently voted the Best Pastry Chef in the World 2024.

At the heart of the discussions, the speakers will explore how artificial intelligence is transforming creative processes. Laurent Alexandre, a specialist in transhumanism and author of The War of Intelligences, will open the debate.

A Pastry Between Tradition and Innovation

A highlight of the event, Nina Métayer will discover one of her signature pastries. It will be reinterpreted thanks to an unprecedented collaboration between the Nice chef Yohan Gouverneur and an AI. A dessert that will blend tradition and innovation.

This creation will illustrate the issues raised by the conference: how to integrate digital tools without distorting the authenticity of art?

The event, supported by the House of Artificial Intelligence and other local partners, will bring together professionals and curious individuals around an original dialogue. For Marco Landi, president of the EuropIA Institute, these exchanges are essential: “It is about laying the foundations for ethical and inclusive innovation.”
